I’m also planning to go to Japan Town, which isn’t far from our hotel. I want to get some mochi and noodles, too. I’ve already found more restaurants and tea shops than I could patronize in a month and we’ll only be there part of a week. But it will be fun trying. 🙂
The stairs are great and I may see the pennants of San Francisco next week, when we’re there for a few days. Business for my husband, fun for me. 🙂

Japan Town, is that near the Japanese Gardens, Janet? Or is it nearer to China Town?

If the Japanese Gardens you refer to are in Golden Gate park, then Japan Town is closer to China Town. It’s near Van Ness and Geary, if that helps.

Multicoloured and from impressively different locations! *shock* There isn’t a green in sight for the Irish one!

Indeed no green in that train station staircase, Col.

All are beautiful, Marion, but there’s something about the first one that captures my eye – something fun and positively charged. 🙂
