Alas children can be cruel too, Roxie. Just think of the bullying at school, which seems to happen a lot.
Let the innocent, warm and pure of heart lead, whether young or old.
Wow, that’s friendship and peace. I think you must send this photo to the newspaper or a challenge. I bet you’ll get the first place. Grat work, Marion
Great image. Here you have two (or three depending on how you look at it) subjects that are incompatible with one another combined to create a photographic gem. The black and white contrast of the tank further heightens the differences between war and children/child‘s play.
I was triggered by the innocence of these playing siblings – friends – symbol of peace, and the token of war, towering over them. But they were completely unaware of it.
Your featured photo at the top of your post grabbed my attention and compelled me to find out what was happening to the children. I was relieved to find them playing and not running for their lives.
Wow, tank and innocent children in front. War and peace. Very contrast and timeless picture. Interesting…
Thank you, Albadr.
best reason to let the children lead us…

very well said…and let us correct the young so they become wise elders

What a contrast! and such a lesson of life.
If only we could all stay as innocent and happy as these kids.

The innocence of the children against the background of a vehicle of war is really striking. Beautiful photo.
When I chanced upon this scene, I grabbed my camera, mumbling ‘keep playing, kids!’ the whole time. Fortunately, they did.
Your entry is one the best I’ve seen across the challenge
Thank you for this big compliment, Nelson.

Thanks, Rita.
Interesting juxtaposition of friendship and vehicle of war!
I loved the way these kids were playing, simply ignoring the imposing tank.
