Life dresses
in many layers
as daughter
best friend
lover and
mother
but then
one by one
these sheets of life
are stripped away
until nothing’s left
but the bare core
the essence
the soul
flies

For Lia Daenen, co-worker and friend – Rest In Peace, sweetheart.

I am sorry for not seeing at first look that it is a dedication to a deceased friend… I understand your need to express your feelings about her passing.
Sometimes words just keep turning around in my head, until I find a way to express them. Thanks for being here, my friend.
Whatever helps Mar…. you can share whatever you feel like it. I am here to listen, and to read.
*hug*
A beautiful image to accompany your inspired verses.
Actually it was the other way around: the photo triggered the words. Thank you, Paula.
Thank you for removing the smiley… *hugs* Whatever came first, the result is well worth noting and sharing with us.
