This week’s photo challenge is guest hosted by Gary Ng of Gnostec Photography.
Merge. The world is made up of many things. There is a saying that opposites attract, and this is true for relationships and other things. What about photography? Many surprises can come out of merging two different entities into one. Sometimes this fusion of the elements is what we call art.
When I walked past this fence, I saw the glittering from the corner of my eye and I stepped back to examine the scene. It made me smile.
In this photo the natural merges with the artificial: a sober wooden fence – held together with dull iron wire – combined with this vibrant and sparkling, colorful bow tie.
They merge quite well. Every fence needs a bow tie!

Like this, and what a bright shot to a time faded fence.
It’s the difference that makes them merge so well.
Really nice interpretation.
Thank you so much, Arindam.
It made me smile too
Well noted Marion
Nice, then we smiled together
I sooooooooooooo LOVED this, Marion. I guess it would have made me too come back and smile
Gorgeous photo, and great words to go with.
My V-man asked me what the heck I was doing. I just smiled and took the photo, knowing someday, somehow, I would need it
I love the glitter of this one.
They complement each other, right?

Very nice! An old, weathered fence and a new, glittery bow. What a lovely combination!

I agree.
Let’s start decorating fences, my friend.
What fun! A definite enhancement
Perhaps we can introduce this combination in both our countries?
