Recently, Harley-Davidson has launched two new models: the Softail Slim and the Sportster 72. Friday night, we were invited by OIT - the Harley-Davidson dealer in Breda, Holland – to witness and feel them, while chatting with friends and enjoying a drink. These new Harley’s differ greatly (in my non-expert opinion) and my heart went out to the Softail Slim, a more slender edition of my Vman’s Fatboy.

Apart from the presentation of the new Harley-Davidson models, there is more going on in the H.O.G. Breda Chapter Holland! On June 29/30th & July 1st of this year, roaring Harley’s will shake the earth near Baarlo. A rumble that touches the hearts of all who see these magnificent machines. After cancellation of several Harley days in Holland and absence of a Benelux Rally in 2012, H.O.G. Breda Chapter Holland initiated the major European event:
Chapters Castle Rally 2012
We found the ideal location for this rally in Castle De Berckt. The authentic atmosphere of the castle, the medieval entourage, the many bars and of course the beautiful surroundings will ensure you will never forget this event.
There will be international ride-outs, a bikers Fun Market, live music, good food and much, much more. The Castle Square is a great place to relax, beer in hand, while watching the bands perform on stage. In the evenings it will be the center of great parties. Click here for the program.

The Chapters Castle Rally is organized by the H.O.G. Breda Chapter Holland. The Rally will be promoted in the Benelux (Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg), the rest of Europe and even further. The only requirement for participation is a H.O.G. membership (Harley Owners Group). Only valid members may register for the rally. During registration you will be asked for your H.O.G. number. Of course each member is allowed to register a passenger/partner (wife, husband, friend…) who doesn’t have to be a H.O.G. member.

De Harley die mijn vriend heeft, rijdt heerlijk. Geen trillingen, anders zou ik niet kunnen meerijden (rugklachten).
Maar die antieke modellen zijn inderdaad heel erg mooi, Selma!
I have a 2006 Softail Deluxe and I love it. It’s interesting seeing the Softail Slim. I am 64 and still love riding. Last year I took a ride with friends up the Pacifice Coast Highway in California. Your tour sounds delightful as well.
